[Testimonial by Saaleka Javed Durrani on #AzadiSquare Movement]

[Testimonial by Saaleka Javed Durrani on #AzadiSquare Movement] "What possible interest could a girl have in a country's political situation ?" This seemingly valid question is the outcome of an average thought process , sounds quite legitimate because is it not what we have settled for - " AVERAGE " ! Our social norms teach us reservations because at the end of the day ours is , was and will remain a male dominant society , oblivious of the female significance in holding together the intricate threads of this nation. The present day Pakistani woman is not merely an idealist but an activist. She believes in morals and virtues. She understands the obtrusive distinction between right and wrong , so , why is she interminably reprehended by misanthropists , flouters and mercenaries for standing up for what she believes in? As for the question of supporting Khan , the answer does not lie in the establishment of affection for IMRAN KHAN " the person " , although his charm and charisma are parallel to none , the answer lies in enlightenment one gains from Imran khan " the educationist " , Imran Khan " the reformer " , Imran Khan " the humanitarian " , Imran Khan " the national hero " and lastly Imran Khan " the politician ". In a country that is withering away due to the avidity and ham-fistedness of its political leaders , I perceive Khan as a crystal that filters out hope , optimism , elation , encouragement and enthusiasm. Khan's concept of " NAYA PAKISTAN " is not based on any selfish motives rather his dream of a revolutionized Pakistan that has settled in the eye of every hierarchy refuting youngster , is purely based on the desire of betterment of this motherland of ours , that we all so devotedly adore. Change is the inevitable phenomenon of life so why shouldn't this change be towards positivity and advancement. How can we all so boorishly follow those who openly repudiate the basic doctrine upon which Pakistan was established. The time has come to revive our national credo. It is time to take a firm stance for probity and objectivity. It is time to awake our senses and not fall prey to our inherent mindsets. It is time to mobilize ourselves for a consequential cause. Time is now , because there may never be another khan fighting this " democratic war " for OUR national rights.
